I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and completed a Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy in 2010. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and board approved Clinical Supervisor. I began working in mental health/developmental services in 1994 and worked for the State of Nevada for over 18 years developing and managing various clinical programs.

I began private practice in 2011, focusing on individuals, couples, families, and children. I utilize Family Systems Theory and other modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and play therapy in my work. I have been trained in EMDR and utilize this modality in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and emotional regulation. I am also trained in Reunification Therapy and in Gottman Institute techniques for use with couples. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

I tailor my approach to the unique issues and needs of the client and consider various factors in developing treatment strategies. Generally, I believe that it is important to examine our past experiences and how they have shaped our thoughts, assumptions, beliefs, and behavioral patterns. When we challenge aspects of our life that no longer serve us, we can create positive changes.
